Amid a surge in crime across the capital, senior AAP leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar launched a scathing attack on the BJP, asserting Delhi has become the crime capital under its so-called ‘four-engine government.’ Pointing to recent incidents where two youths were shot dead in Pratap Nagar, a boy was stabbed to death in Patparganj, and a ‘kalash’ worth ₹1 crore was stolen inside Red Fort, he said these expose the collapse of security. Holding the LG responsible for law and order, he said the LG has never visited police stations, and appealed to both the LG and CM to deploy police for the safety of citizens instead of their own security.
Multiple violent incidents expose deteriorating law
Addressing a press conference, senior AAP leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar stated, “Delhi is the capital of the country, and today it has a so-called ‘four-engine’ BJP government. This is a government that controls the police, land, MCD, and even the Delhi government. The Lieutenant Governor and the central government that run all of this are also from the BJP. Despite this four-engine BJP rule in Delhi, the city is fast becoming the crime capital.”Highlighting the lack of safety for women, Kuldeep Kumar said, “Today our sisters and daughters are not safe in Delhi. People do not feel secure. Murders are happening openly, extortion is taking place, and the four-engine government sits silently.
Women’s safety compromised police focus shifted to VIP security
The main news in the media today is that two youths were shot dead in Pratap Nagar, under Harsh Vihar police station. Such incidents are happening repeatedly. A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death outside the gate of a school in Patparganj. What is happening in Delhi? Crimes like these are taking place one after another, and the entire government remains silent. The BJP government in Delhi holds the responsibility for safety, so why is it failing to ensure security?” The AAP MLA continued, “Today criminals in Delhi have no fear of the police. Instead, they believe that even if they commit murder, the police will not act. The entire police force is deployed for the security of BJP leaders, their ministers, and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Who, then, will protect the public and our sisters and daughters? Even a priceless ‘kalash’ worth ₹1 crore was stolen from the Red Fort complex during a programme of the Jain community.
