Determined to stand by flood-ravaged Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday dispatched another truckload of relief material from Delhi, with senior leader and MP Sanjay Singh flagging it off. Acting on Arvind Kejriwal’s call, AAP workers across the country are collecting essentials like blankets, mosquito nets, tents, slippers and tarpaulins.
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Kumar took to ‘X’ and wrote: “Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers from across the country are working day and night to serve the flood-affected families in Punjab. Today, MP Sanjay Singh ji is reaching Punjab with relief materials and will personally go among the affected families to extend a helping hand.”

Acting on Arvind Kejriwal’s call
Senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday flagged off a truck loaded with flood relief material from Delhi to Punjab and said that Punjab is facing a severe flood tragedy at present. “Several districts are under the grip of floods, and people are surrounded by difficulties and hardships. The people of Punjab urgently need the support of fellow countrymen at this time,” he said. The AAP MP further noted, “Punjab is that state which has always been at the forefront whenever any disaster, earthquake, cyclone, or heavy rainfall struck anywhere in the country or the world, extending help to the affected people first. Punjab has always stood by the nation in difficult times. Today, it is our turn to stand with Punjab. All citizens of the country must come forward to assist the people of Punjab.”

Party workers nationwide collect essentials
Sanjay Singh said that AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to every party worker and member to collect relief material and participate in the relief work. “Efforts must be made to send maximum assistance to Punjab. Under this campaign, we made an attempt on Thursday and are sending relief material to Punjab through trucks, which include blankets, mosquito nets, slippers, tarpaulins, and other essential items most needed there at this time,” he said.
