Amidst the nationwide buzz surrounding UPSC toppers, senior IAS officer and acclaimed author Dr. Sajjan Yadav unveiled his latest book “Lakshya UPSC – Inspiring Stories of Young IAS Officers”. The book launch ceremony was held at Constitution Club, New Delhi, with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the chief guest. The event marked a moment of pride for the author and the civil services community alike.

A Moment of Honour for Purvanchal
Dr. Yadav, currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, extended a special invitation to Arvind Chitransh, Editor-in-Chief of Gauravshali Purvanchal, further highlighting the region’s growing representation and recognition in national platforms.

Former CEO of NITI Aayog and retired IAS officer Amitabh Kant praised the book, calling it a guiding light for countless aspirants who dream of serving the nation through civil services.

Insights from the Education Minister
During his address, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the intense journey that civil service aspirants undergo. “While most of us are tested every five years, civil servants are tested every moment,” he remarked. Applauding Dr. Yadav’s work, he noted that the book brilliantly captures the challenges and determination of young officers, and congratulated the author for uniting his team for such a significant occasion.

Dr. Sajjan Yadav expressed gratitude to all attendees and shared the purpose behind the book. “This book is a tribute to those who conquered immense odds to crack one of the world’s most demanding competitive exams,” he said. Lakshya UPSC features seven inspiring stories of young IAS officers from diverse backgrounds—including a visually impaired girl from Sikkim, a government clerk from Kerala, a youth from a remote village in Kashmir, and an IIT graduate from Rajasthan—each demonstrating unwavering resolve and courage.
