
On the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva, along with MP Mr. Yogendra Chandolia and local MLA Mr. Rajkumar Chauhan, participated in the grand Chhath Puja celebration organized at Bapudham, Mangolpuri. They extended greetings to the fasting women (vratis) and their families performing the rituals.
Purvanchal community on the grand festival
BJP MPs, MLAs, councilors, and state office bearers across Delhi participated in Chhath Puja celebrations in their respective constituencies and conveyed greetings to people from the Purvanchal community on the grand festival. Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva visited various Chhath ghats at New Ashok Nagar, Surya Ghat Trilokpuri, Hansraj Sethi Park Kalkaji, Vasudev Ghat Kashmere Gate, Pandav Nagar Patparganj, and Children’s Park West Vinod Nagar, where he met devotees and extended greetings. Union Minister of State Mr. Harsh Malhotra met devotees at Chhath ghats located at Yamuna Bank, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Kondli, Laxmi Nagar, and Geeta Colony, and wished them on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv. State General Secretary (Organization) Mr. Pawan Rana joined the puja at the Pontoon Bridge Ghat and conveyed his greetings to the fasting women. State General Secretary Mr. Vishnu Mittal participated in Chhath celebrations held at Hari Nagar Ward Badarpur and C.B.D. Ground Vishwas Nagar, where he extended greetings to the devotees.

MP Mr. Manoj Tiwari visited Sonia Vihar Dhai Pusta, Shyam Ghat, and Suraj Ghat, greeted the Purvanchal community on Chhath Puja, and received blessings from the fasting women. MP Mr. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri met devotees at Chhath ghats in Rajnagar, Kailashpuri Chowk (Sadhnagar Palam), Badarpur, and Tughlakabad constituencies, extending greetings on the festival of Sun worship. Delhi BJP General Secretary and MP Mr. Yogendra Chandolia visited the Chhath Ghat at Mangolpuri, took blessings from the devotees, and inspected arrangements to ensure that no devotee faced any inconvenience.

MP from Chandni Chowk Mr. Praveen Khandelwal participated in Chhath celebrations at Shakarpur Surya Ghat, Moonak Canal Ghat, Yamuna Bazaar, and Vasudev Ghat, met devotees, and received their blessings.
MP from New Delhi Ms. Bansuri Swaraj extended greetings to Chhath devotees in W Block Greater Kailash I, Jamshedpur, Kasturba Nagar, Malviya Nagar, R.K. Puram, as well as Moti Nagar and Patel Nagar constituencies.
MP Mrs. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, currently in Bihar for the election campaign, participated in Chhath Puja celebrations in Nalanda.

Addressing devotees at various Chhath ghats, Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said that Chhath Mahaparv is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. He added that while the festival is traditionally celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, it is now gaining popularity across the entire nation. Chhath Puja is not an ordinary fast but an act of penance where women devotees observe a 36-hour-long fast without water, offering arghya to the setting and rising Sun, and seek blessings for the growth and well-being of their children and families.” He further said that the significance of Chhath Puja lies in expressing gratitude to the Sun God, praying for happiness, prosperity, and peace for one’s family and society.
