
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav hailed the creative talent of young painters at a children’s drawing competition in which he was the chief guest, held at Nirankari Bhawan, Chuna Bhati, Kirti Nagar, on Sunday, and wished them a bright future ahead. The theme of the competition was computer and the changes and progress computer could bring to one’s life. Devender Yadav wished a bright future for the children who exhibited remarkable imagination and skill in their paintings. He thanked Congress leader Ramesh Popli, who organised the painting competition, to give an excellent platform for the little children to showcase their drawing skills. Prominent others present on the occasion were District presidents Shri Madan Khorwal and Shri Sidharth Rao, Observers Gauri Shankar Bhardwaj, Harnam Singh, Sushma Yadav, Rajender Singh Namdhari.

Devender Yadav said that computer was a subject very dear to the Congress party as the computer revolution in the country was launched when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister to bring unimaginable changes and progress in our life and provided a new direction and orientation to the lives of the young people, with Indian youth making their indelible mark in computer application globally. He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi was also following in the footsteps of Rajiv Ji to bring changes in the lives of the people, and it was a such a pleasant coincidence that Shri Rahul Gandhi had visited Chuna Mandi to interact with carpenters to understand their problems and difficulties, and joined them in making a chair.

Devender Yadav said that to strengthen the Congress across the country, the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan has been going on, and in Delhi too, “we have worked hard to strengthen the organization with the formation of Mandalams and Sectors at the block level, and held training work shops in each of the 14 Districts over a span of 15 days to train the cadres in the various aspects of the party’s functioning”. He said that since the BJP Government took charge in Delhi six months ago, Delhi Congress has been forcefully raising issues affecting the people, while simultaneously focusing on strengthening the organization, which has been showing amazing results at the grass root level.
