He believed that learning in one’s native language enhances comprehension. This vision is reflected in today’s National Education Policy, which includes Hindi and other regional languages.

Dr. Mookerjee’s struggle against Article 370 eventually led to its abrogation in 2019- a key milestone in his ideological journey. Today, efforts are ongoing in Kashmir to emotionally and economically integrate it with the rest of India, including road and rail As India’s capital, Delhi deserves world-class infrastructure. He urged all MPs from Delhi to inspect local railway stations and submit improvement plans. Under PM Modi, Delhi’s railway budget has increased tenfold, and masterplans have already been prepared to modernize Shakur Basti and Azadpur stations.

Kashmir and Article 370 Legacy Realized
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that Dr. Mookerjee’s life embodies nationalism. From his early days to becoming India’s youngest university vice-chancellor, and later standing up for Hindus during the Bengal crisis — he was a visionary leader.The founding of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in Delhi was rooted in nationalist ideology, which later flourished into the Bharatiya Janata Party — now the largest political party in the country. He recalled that during Dr. Mookerjee’ s journey to Jammu and Kashmir, he spent eight days with Kedarnath Sahni and addressed students at Jalandhar University in Hindi, affirming that Hindi is the language that unites the nation.

One Nation One Constitution, One Symbol
Dr. Mookerjee firmly believed that Kashmir is an integral part of India, and consistently raised this in Parliament. He declared that “one nation cannot have two constitutions”, a belief realized today. Shri Sachdeva expressed pride in being part of a party that carries forward his ideology, now being nurtured by PM Modi. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that while many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for India’s independence, Dr. Mookerjee gave his life for India’s unity and constitutional integrity. He resigned from the Union Cabinet to launch a movement declaring “One Nation, One Constitution” during the Kashmir debate.She added, “Today, when the Vande Bharat train crosses the Chenab River and India’s highest peaks in Kashmir, we feel a deep connection to every part of India. One constitution and one flag now represent the entire nation. Our duty as a political party is to carry forward the ideas and values shown by Dr. Mookerjee.”
