Those who ruined Delhi for 11 years came to the Assembly with their faces covered. This was stated by Social Welfare Minister Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh while speaking to the media in the Assembly premises, taking a jibe at the opposition. He said that those who destroyed Delhi during their tenure should indeed come only after hiding their faces. Shri Ravinder Indraj said that the opposition’s “industrial mask” disappeared the very next day, which reflects the opposition’s intent and seriousness.
Shri Ravinder Indraj said that from the very beginning, the government has wanted serious and meaningful discussion in the House, especially on important issues such as pollution and AQI. However, the opposition is wasting the time of the House and the public’s money.
The Social Welfare Minister said that the Hon’ble Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Shri Vijender Gupta, had also convened a special session on this issue, and the government repeatedly appealed to the opposition to sit in the House and participate in the discussion. But the opposition has been disrupting the proceedings every day by staging protests.
He said that even during the Lieutenant Governor’s address, the opposition displayed irresponsible behavior.
Shri Ravinder Indraj said that when the work done by the Delhi government in 11 months outweighs the opposition’s 11 years, it is causing discomfort to the opposition. The government is working with full commitment to deal with the garbage and problems that Delhi has inherited from the opposition.
The Social Welfare Minister said that the kind of language and words used by the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly against the Gurus is extremely condemnable and shameful. To harbor such sentiments and use such language against the Gurus and families who sacrificed their lives for the nation is deplorable. He said that AAP leaders should apologize to the entire country.
The Social Welfare Minister said that the people of Delhi are watching and understanding everything, and the truth is coming before them. The Bharatiya Janata Party is fully prepared for discussion in the House and will continue to work in the interest of Delhi.
